Recently AES undertook onsite sound power measurements of a digger operating under different conditions at the McCoy mine.
The measurements were undertaken in accordance with ISO 6395 for idling stationary and dynamic operational conditions with different engine speeds. The measurement results indicate:
- Noise emission was higher under dynamic conditions.
- Engine speed has significant impact on noise emission.
